The Human Resources Coordinator provides high-level administrative support to the other members of the Human Resources department in the day to day administration of: benefits, record-keeping, performance management activities, training and development, and employee recognition functions. The Human Resources Coordinator must maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity at all times.


  • Maintain and ensure employee records are accurate.
  • Conducts and coordinates new hire orientation
  • Coordination of HR sponsored training and development initiatives
  • Assist with HRIS project implementations and ancillary systems
  • Handle all employee status changes (terms, transfers, new hires, etc.) and process employee status changes in a timely fashion. Communicate with appropriate divisions and complete necessary paperwork and update all related files to indicate change.
  • Prepare paperwork required to place new employees on the payroll and establishes the personnel file.
  • Administers health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations.
  • Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
  • Review billings for accuracy; resolves discrepancies with carriers, payroll and the company; processes monthly billings from insurance providers.
  • Assist and coordinate with employee events and member of various committees
  • Complete employment verification requests.
  • Oversees the 90-day review process through My Success Center including notifying department heads of overdue reviews.
  • Cover the reception/front desk area as needed.
  • Member of the DERT team (Disaster Emergency Response Team).
  • Maintain offsite storage records.
  • Create and provide HR ad-hoc reports for HR metrics, special reports and miscellaneous requests from leadership along with weekly/monthly reports to internal/external customers.
  • Files all unemployment claims and participates in the hearings as needed.
  • Assist and advise employees and managers on sick time, vacation time, holidays, leave of absence, family medical leave, payroll, tuition reimbursement, flexible fringe benefits, deductions, etc.
  • Assist with worker compensation claims and required reporting.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Assist with compliance reporting (AAP, EEOC, etc)
  • Updating employee handbook modifications as well as employee internal portal



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred or related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience serving in an HR support role
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS systems a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with different levels of management
  • Must possess a high degree of professionalism in handling confidential information
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently in an ever changing fast pace environment with a sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical, organizational and auditing skills required
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and create improved efficiency
  • Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to follow-through to completion
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
