Quality Assurance Specialist- Reimbursement

Malvern, PA (this location is NOT public-transportation friendly)



This position will have accountability for all Quality Assurance activities. A Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for conducting QA reviews, providing results to Operations Leadership, conducting side-by-side reviews and coaching, processing Incident Reports, recognizing trends, and making recommendations for improvements in accordance with HIPAA and appropriate departmental Standard Operating Procedures. 


**EKG QA, Cardiac QA, Telemetry QA, QA Specialist, Clinical QA Specialist



  • Conduct QA audits using recorded call playback, data entry accuracy reviews, workflow audits, side-by-side observation, and live call monitoring
  • Provide side-by-side coaching to new and existing employees based on QA results
  • Assist in the development and implementation of QA processes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Evaluate QA trends and propose improvements to Leadership and Training
  • Maintains flexibility to accommodate all departments’ shifts as needed
  • Maintains positive rapport and effective communication with all internal customers
  • Maintains highest level of confidentiality regarding both patient and employee records in accordance with all applicable industry and company guidelines
  • Perform operational functions periodically to keep skills current



  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field preferred


  • Quality Assurance Specialist - up to three years experience working in healthcare operations and consistently meeting/exceeding expectations in Productivity and Quality


  • QA in Clinical Operations must also have the following::
    • Experience in a HIPAA regulated environment
    • Sense of urgency in handling time sensitive patients
    • Should have knowledge of CardioNet product lines and be able to communicate effectively with other internal customers
    • Computer skills including proficiency in Windows MS Office – Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills including phone etiquette
    • Detail/process oriented, following through on tasks, problem-solving, troubleshooting and multi-tasking
    • Self-starter, demonstrates initiative and flexibility in a fast paced environment
    • Being a team player and professionalism
    • Strong ECG analysis skills
    • 3 years+ of experience reading and interpreting EKG data
    • CCT or CRAT certification OR RN with current ACLS certification or Paramedic/EMT with current ACLS certification

Physical Job Requirements

    • Lifting 10 lbs or less
    • Using fine motor skills such as typing and scanning
    • Using phone, headset, headphones and/or hearing
    • Seeing via computer screen and associated documents
