The Contracting Administrator for BioTelemetry is responsible for activities that support the healthcare contract operations including implementation and maintenance of pending and executed contracts for Payor Agreements.  Works cross-functionally (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Reimbursement, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance and Legal) to coordinate contract administration for payer and clinic agreements including processing, billing, reimbursement, and payment information.  Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of products and services, operations and contracts as well as knowledge of the managed care and insurance industries and their respective business issues and potential opportunities.  


  • Monitors and supports the implementation process for all Payor Agreements, including credentialing for initial agreement and any ongoing credentialing needs for that payer.
  • Works with corporate and field on any reimbursement issues, and brings exceptions or non-standard requests to the attention of senior management where appropriate.
  • Maintains communication with and responds to questions from all appropriate departments, including Customer Care, Reimbursement Services, Finance and Sales (as needed) regarding third party participation, contract compliance, and any other operational issues or opportunities.
  • Responsible for the tracking, approval, administration, and post-implementation process of all healthcare Payor contracts throughout the contract life cycle, including updating and auditing the files and fee schedules in NextGen, Emdeon, Visual Vault, Sharepoint, Agiloft and other internal contract database and enrollment systems as applicable. 
  • Monitors the technical links between the Third Party Payor and data tracking systems to assure reported issues are properly captured, reported, prioritized and managed to closure.
  • Works with appropriate internal and external parties to load and update new/existing location, market, and provider information.
  • Perform special projects as assigned by management team.



  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience


  • 1-3 years’ experience in performing a combination of medical billing, contract analysis, administration, or third party program implementation in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines preferred.



  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and creating and manipulating a pivot table).
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools)
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts).
  • Ability to prioritize/organize and track details and meet deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
